What exactly are the "Ellies"? The National Magazine Awards. On Wed. March 14th the American Society of Magazine Editors announced the nominations for the prestigious awards and The New Yorker led all contenders with nine nominations. A total of 1,773 entries were submitted from 334 print and online publications.
