Review:
This is a collection of forty- three new poems from Pulitzer Prize winner Oliver. You could tell that the poet is dealing with a loss of a lover in this collection and is wrestling with religious questions. I would like to compare her to the Transcendentalist poets like Emerson and Thoreau.Belief isn’t always easy.
But this much I have learned—if not enough else—to live with my eyes open. (P.63 “In the Storm”)
